hey.
how's it going?
yeah, i know it's been a while. and the info has been few and far between. what can i say though, this life i'm livin' is fine and sweet. these things i'm learnin' are lessons much needed. the scenery, the music, the life, the love the laughter...it's all pretty amazing. and time consuming. and exhausting.
I love my job. I really really do. I spend way too much time there and the corporation it’s become is pretty out of control, but the people...oh, the people. They are just wonderful. I am so surrounded with so much diversity every day. And the musical knowledge I’m sopping off of these people is just incredible. I’m making people make top 20 albums lists and compiling them so I can just start listening to everything.
And the wonderful thing about that is that I can get these lists from people and actually converse with them about music of all types. They have real opinions and real descriptions and real understandings of so many things and they’re all so articulate and confidant and...yeah. It’s amazing to hear fans speak of music they love. It’s inspiring to hear aspiring musicians talk about technicalities and passions and to just totally feed off of it and ask questions and make contributions.
And people are so wonderfully liberal here. Politics and social issues can be discussed and explored and are so easily brought out into the open.
At the same time, it’s got this wonderful mix of down to earth drinkin and smokin buddies who jsut know how to have a good time.
I drive home after work on a freeway next to a lake with sailboats surrounded by hills and more water and jagged snow covered mountains. It sounds so zen to type it all out. And it’s not that extreme, but it fills those shoes quite well.
I really like my life.

Thursday early morning sometime
I can’t believe how different things are. We finally have internet hooked up and I’ve been kinda browsing sites I really haven’t truly looked at in well...about a month, and everything’s changing so much for so many people. And I think it’s absolutely incredible and invigorating. It’s so cool to know so many people are in such good places at this point in time. But lord, I have no idea what’s going on at this point in time. So much new and so much building. It’s absolutely fantastic.
We built our book shelf tonight. This was pretty much the “final” piece(for now). And now all the books are in place and the rest of my shit is here so we can finish decorating and making it a home. And it’s just so exciting. Work is exciting. New people are exciting. Old people are exciting. And I just can’t wait to see where it all goes and how everything falls together.
David Beckham. How I love thee. Let me count the ways. One, for thy cover of Vanity Fair. It is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Two, for they tatoos. Never have they looked so incredibly sexy on a man. Thank you for making things that would look miserably tacky on anyone else look like meaningful art. Three, for the infedelity that thou showest. Because it prooves that any man that looks that perfect just cannot be perfect and cannot be placed with a trophy wife. I wonder if he’ll ever be satisfied.
I just wrote that previious paragraph sounding like maybe I actually know something about the guy. But alas, that is just a big fat lie.

two days til we have internet access. yaaaaaaaaaaaay! just in time for tour! which is apparently starting thursday. hm.
jeremy and shellie will be here in like 3 hours! yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! i like friends :)
i love life. i do. mraz was probably the most beautiful concert of all time. that boy's voice is just heavenly. the vancouver audience was fantastic - very quiet. all you could hear was girls giggling every time he'd start in on a story. lots more stories in vancouver than seattle, though he still babbled quite a bit. i am totally in love with him. completely. i don't think i've ever felt things in that way before. nice work, jason. i also don't think i've ever wanted to hug anyone as much as i wanted to hug him, including dave. that's a little scary.
oh, and popper guested on friday night here in my town. isn't that lovely? apparently he just moved here and decided to stop by. it kicked so much ass...
15 minutes til home time/.

everything right now is wonderfully new and totally satisfying. of course, it will be nicer once i'm not working 12-14 hour days and have a second to actually settle in. but we have everything In the new place, and our living room is looking like it will be quite cute. i love our lanterns hanging over the windows, and i have a strange fetish for the bright red rug we got to put in front of the kitchen sink.
i love having all these new people in my life too. so much to talk about and get to know. good lord, i love boys. not so big on the girls, still...i've re-discovered that i tend to just be quiet when around girls. not 100% of the time, it just depends on who it is.
oh, and i love thai food. i've so missed it. the place that's a block from the apartment is wonderful. soooo good. and soooo cheap. and my oh my is the bartender at the bar right nextdoor a cutie. mmmhmmm.
ok, back to work i go. i really gotta call and get my internet hooked up...slacker...
