ok. so i have to write about something here that i cannot write about in my myspace blog because it would be read by people and i'm embarassed.

see, there's this local band here. and i am absolutely in love with them. no, like, ridiculously in love. the kind of love we all have for those certain bands - i think it's safe to say us dmb fans have obsessive personalities. but i seriously listen to them or see them life and am struck with the urge to just burst out in "OH MY FUCKING GODs" and have to run outside and smoke a cigarette or whatever.

thing IS, it's a band comprised of some of my dearest friends. i've gotten to know them over the course of their bandship, and have watched them grow and change and they are all so dynamic and brilliant, and the more their music changes the more i relize it.

anyway.

so we had a party this past saturday night for the birthdays of me, and then two of the band members as well. and they played. they totally played at my birthday party, and it was a basement thing at their house, but it just meant the world to me and was the highlight of my birthday week festivities and i swear to god, i'm getting close to liking them too much to ever face them again.

in any case, if you're curious you can listen at this site. it's not like anything else i listen to, and i love that they're inventive and that johnny's lyrics are just masterfully crafter jibberish created by someone who understands the english language way too well, and i adore the fact that i know all of their influences and can't quite pinpoint them.

anyway.
it was special.
and i think they're becoming desensitized to my praise already.

and now i have to stop procrastinating.
