well, i seem to have reached a hump at 30 pounds lost. granted, water weight still makes it more or less every few days, but it's quite annoying. so i guess it's back to the "strict" phase of the diet for a bit. plus, i've started walking which should help my body AND my mind. i'm so exhausted all the time, yet i have an insane amount of energy. what a wonderful combination. and i was thinking how what i need more than anything is down time. i think the last time i slowed down was august. granted, i've gone places. but flying to cincinnati on a friday, partying through the weekend, flying back late sunday night and going to work at 7:30 the next morning is not exactly restful. and now, working 50 or so hours a week and trying to fit everyone in on the weekends...i've just reached this state where i have a perpetual headache and constantly feel like i'm gonna go narcoleptic once it hits about 8 at night.
that's sad.
but hey, i'm still in a good mood!
in any case. i'm wishing i'd told jamie that i didn't want to start at the emp until after memorial day rather than 1 week after i leave my job here. that's a crunch. i seriously need some down time just to rest and write and think and semi-ease into this next phase.
does anyone else feel these intensely strange undercurrents all around them right now? hell, i know other people do because we've discussed it at length. something big is definitely brewing...
time to go make steak and salad.
actually, i marinated some flank steak in balsamic and onion and garlic and oregano and pepper. that should be damn good.
woohoo!
