whoa.

i started reading a book tonight called "the quiet room" by lori schiller and amanda bennett. it is the story of a woman's decent into madness, really. she actually suffers from the same disease as my brother - schitzo-affective disorder. think schitzophrenia meets bipolar.

anyway. i started it tonight and realized i had to finish it tonight. there was no way i could have stopped in the middle and expected to sleep. it was far too horrifying and even now that i've finished i'm having a hard time breathing. it is written not just by her, but by her family members and doctors, with excerpts from her medical files and journal.

i really just have no words for this book. and for the fact that after all that this woman went through, she is doing ok now.

yeah.

i'm gonna try and sleep now.
