ok. my shoulders are about to start brutally peeling. my skin has never been this texture before. i just keep putting lotion on, and it soaks it right the fuck up.

(have you ever noticed how hard it is to type really fast without using spaces? c'mon. you know you wanna try it.)

that said...bonnaroo was a blast. but pretty impossible to discuss because there was just so much going on. i was consistently amazed at how mellow the whole thing was. for 90,000 people or however the hell many it was, the vibe was totally chill and peaceful and harmonic...

shit. if i keep going i'll start sounding like a hippie.

i've always said that if i could go back and be my age now during any era, it would be the late sixties. i want to have been at woodstock. i just think i'd be completely in my element at that time. it would've been a cool time to have been young. i knew bonnaroo was probably as close as i was gonna get to a festival of that caliber. but i didn't realize just how fufilling it would actually be. the best music out there was represented. the best people out there were in attendance. the atmosphere was unlike anything i've ever experienced. completely vibrant and alive and insane, but very tranquil and safe at the same time. it was just beautiful.

it was a strange mixture of people in my personal circle as well. which was...well, strange. i met and spent time with some just awesome people who really just make me smile.

i say all that, and then i realize that this is the one trip where there are actually things i would have done differently before and during. which is weird, because i'm so rooted in the principle of "no regrets." i wouldn't go as far as to say i have regrets, but...well, there's things i'm thinking through so that i don't let that kind of thing happen again.

but yes, yes. bonnaroo was pretty damned incredible. i use that word to much, i know - i kinda desensitized my audience. but it really was the only thing i've ever attended where i don't feel the need to even attempt to tell people about it. you just...had to be there. stories will come out in good time, but right now, i can't even touch it.

but.
i cannot wait to tell jeremy.
